Cindy Lop-Her to Appear at Goddess Gala

Charm City Roller Girl and former skater for home team, Speed Regime, and travel team, Charm City All Stars, Cindy Lop-her (aka, Tara Gebhardt) will join a panel of celebrity Goddesses to judge the Goddess Gala costume contest on September 11, 2010.

Cindy helped bring roller derby back to Baltimore in 2005 as a founding member and owner of the Charm City Roller Girls.

Cultivating roller derby in Baltimore and at a national level, Cindy has also worked on behalf of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) to align the sport with key sponsors that will help them reach their target demographic while also gaining greater recognition for the sport itself in the eye of the general public.

• Ferenc Teddy Gregor created a stone sculpture for the silent auction. A first generation Hungarian-American residing in Maryland, Ferenc began carving in 1987, utilizing natural materials, such as wood, horn, fossil ivories, and stone.
  
  
• Julie Huber, co-founder and creative director of Braeland Studios/Otis & Co., donated a piece of artwork for the silent auction.
  
  
• Larry Lewis, a professional metalsmith and owner of Forms in Metal, created two sterling silver Hunab-Ku pendants - prizes for the costume contest winners.
  
  
• Lyn Ostrov, an accomplished painter and art teacher at Friends School of Baltimore, donated one of her pieces entitled "Resting Under the Arbor" for the silent auction.
