Feeding the People has been awarded a $10,000 grant from Novo Nordisk Inc., a world leader in diabetes care. The grant will help support Feeding the People’s Yin-Yang Ball, a fundraising event to empower low-income diabetics with meals, education, and support.“We are very grateful for Novo Nordisk’s support, which will allow us serve additional clients. By providing low-income diabetics with nutritious meals, education, and ongoing support we can help prevent diabetes-related complications and save lives,” said Jennifer Schugam, President, Feeding the People.
Feeding the People’s Yin-Yang Ball will be held on September 24, 2011 from 7:00pm – 11:00pm at Irvine Nature Center in Owings Mills, Maryland. Attendees will enjoy live music, dancing, Mexican food, hay rides, a silent auction, a piñata contest, and more. All proceeds will benefit Feeding the People.
